Hajj Cancellations: Governor Badaru Direct States Pilgrims’ Board to Refund Intending Pilgrims

Jigawa state government has directed the state pilgrims welfare board to refund the 2020/ 2021 Hajj fares to intending pilgrims.

 

 

The Executive Secretary of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board Alhaji Sani Alhassan Muhammad stated this in an interview with newsmen in Dutse.

 

 

He explained that Governor Badaru Abubakar gave the approval for the refund of the deposit to the intending pilgrims.

 

 

According to him, those that deposited their 2020 and 2021 hajj fare wishing to be refunded must contact pilgrims zonal offices or the board headquarters is Dutse.

 

 

Alhaji Muhammad Sani Alhassan however said those wishing to keep the deposit with board till next year are also free to do so.

 

 

He said the board members and staff of the agency will take their second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine on next week.

 

 

The Executive secretary therefore called on prospective pilgrims that have taken the first dose of the vaccine to go for the second jab due to its importance.

 

 

He commended the state government and staff of the board for the support and cooperation given to the board during hajj operations.
