Hajj Excellence Award: Chief of Staff to Masari Clinches Best Head of State Hajj Delegation

The chief of staff to Katsina state Governor, Alh Muntari Lawal will be honoured as Best Head of State Hajj Delegation by the Independent Hajj Reporters, a civil society organisation that monitors and reports hajj operations in the country.

The occasion which is expected to attract crème da crème in the hajj industry will take place on 23rd of January at the Stone Hedge Hotels in Abuja.

The Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Mr Adnan Bostaji won the ‘Hajj personality of the year while Governor Bala Muhammed of Bauchi clinches the ‘Pilgrims Assistant Governor of the year award. The Chief of Staff to Katsina State Governor, Alh Muntari Lawal will bag the ‘Best Head of State Delegations’ during 2019 hajj.

The awards, according to a statement, jointly signed by IHR’s National Coordinator, Ibrahim Muhammed and Organizing Secretary, Mallam Muhammed Garba involved honouring hajj service providers that serve Nigerian pilgrims during 2019 hajj.

 

“In continuation of our policy of appreciating and motivating hajj service providers that rendered excellence services to Nigerian pilgrims, Independent Hajj Reporters will honour individual’s diplomats, hajj administrators, hajj officials, and hajj service providers,” the statement reads in part.

 

Some of the categories of the award include best state Muslims pilgrim’s welfare board in terms of organisation, best State Pilgrim’s Boards Head of Operations, Best Leader of State Delegation and Hajj Personality of the Year.

 

Others include the best state in Pilgrim’s Enlightenment and Education and feeding, Most Organised State Pilgrims, best service oriented tour operators, best hajj air carriers and others.

 

It further said that “Independent Hajj Reporters (IHR), is a registered nom-profit comprising of Muslim journalists who seek to enlighten Nigerian pilgrims on how to perform this most important pillar of Islam. It also publishes Hajj Reporters (www.hajjreporters.com), an online newspaper dedicated to hajj and Umrah reporting”.
