Jeddah– Several specialists in the Hajj and Umrah system, during their participation in the Hajj Expo 2023, stressed the role of digital platforms in reducing the time needed to complete arrival procedures to less than 3 minutes, as part of the Makkah Route Initiative, which is an initiative of the programs of the Saudi Vision 2030, stressing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s endeavors to be among the top 20 international models in digital transformation by 2030.
The first of the major sessions covered the main indicators and results achieved by the digital transformation project in Hajj and Umrah services, which aim to improve the services provided to pilgrims and Umrah performers during their journey to the Kingdom, as well as provide several applications of awareness and organizational guidance that serve pilgrims and #Umrah performers, and coordinate work among different sectors.
