The Executive Secretary of Niger State Pilgrims Board, Alh Umar Makun Lapai has described Independent Hajj Reporters as” an International organisation that has “gone beyond the scope of Nigeria”

Alh. Makun made the remarks when he hosted the National Executive of IHR led by its national coordinator, Ibrahim Muhammed in Minna, Niger State on Wednesday.

The Executive Secretary also acknowledge the role played by IHR in shaping Hajj administrators through adequate information dissemination on Hajj operations.

Earlier in his address, the national coordinator of Independent Hajj Reporters said he has worked with Alh. Makun for many years even before the advent of Hajj Reporters.

“I have worked with the ES and know his level of commitment and dedication to duty which made us to come here to congratulate him on his appointment,” he said.

The visiting IHR team also commended His Excellency, Governor Sani Bello, the Executive Governor of Niger State for appointing someone with practical experience in the field operation in Hajj exercise.

The IHR national coordinator also said “the board executed one of the best state pilgrims welfare oriented polices during Hajj 2019 which was recognized by IHR in the form of an award. Your dedication, commitment and versatility in the area of welfare of pilgrims necessitated the award”.

“We are happy that His Excellency has vindicated our judgement by confirming your appointment as the Executive Secretary of Niger State Muslim Pilgrims Board. Once again, on behalf of the national executive of Independent Hajj Reporters, we are saying congratulations to you and other board members”.
