Hajj Saving scheme: ‘All grey areas resolved’ – Adamawa ES

The Permanent Secretary and Executive Secretary of the Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission, Malam Salihu Abubakar has attended a meeting convened at National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON, headquarters Abuja to deliberate on issues pertaining to Hajj Saving Scheme HSS.

Malam Salihu Abubakar, prominent member of a Committee set up to fine- tune progress of the Scheme which comprised of representatives of NAHCON management and Chief Executives of States Pilgrims Welfare Boards submitted its reports to NAHCON Thursday.

NAHCON management deliberated on the outcome and took positions on the resolutions.

Issues confirmed include registration modalities, setting up of Hajj Savings Scheme Departments by the state boards, revenue sharing formula, general enlightenment on the scheme, state boards’ collaboration with Ja’iz Bank on the HSS portal.

In an interview with Press Crew of the Commission, Malam Salihu Abubakar said grey areas on implementation of Hajj Savings Scheme for Nigeria have been resolved and States are set to implement the Scheme.

He disclosed that already, Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission has set up an implementation committee made up of members of the Board, Management and Schedule Officers.

The Chief Executive Officer said a Unit for HSS has been designed to include a Coordinator and a few staff of the Commission who would run the Scheme.
