Hajj Saving Scheme: NAHCON Chairman lauds Nasarawa State Government

The National Hajj commission of Nigeria NAHCON has commended the government and People of Nasarawa State for their willingness to accept the newly introduced Hajj Saving Scheme program in the State.

 

Chairman of the Commission Ustaz Zikirullah Hassan gave the commendation during the launching /Sensitization program of the scheme held at Government House Lafia.

 

According to NAHCON boss the presence of  stakeholders which cut across  traditional rulers and Islamic scholars is a clear indication that the Government and people of Nasarawa State have accepted the scheme.

 

Zikirullah called on Muslims to take advantage of the scheme through Ja’iz Bank to enable them partake in the spiritual journey by either long or short time saving.

Earlier, Governor Abdullah Sule noted the program is coming at a right time when some states government can no longer afford to sponsor pilgrims due to dwindling resources in the country.

 

Governor Sule gave assurance that his government will give all the necessary support to enable the program successful

 

In his remark, The Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Mallam Idris Ahmad Almakura said the board is getting all the supports that will enable the board implement all it takes to make hajj saving scheme a reality in the state and Nigeria at large.

 

Idris Almakura thanked Executive Secretaries of Benue, Plateau,  Bauchi, Niger, Zamfara and FCT, Management and Staff of the board, among other stakeholders who contributed in one way or the other for the success of the program.

 

All stakeholders who spoke during that event harps on the need for Muslims in the state embrace the scheme.
