Hajj Saving Scheme: Sokoto Pilgrims Agency set to commence enrollment

The Sokoto State Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency said it will soon activate the Hajj Saving Scheme and makes it operational in the state

The Director-General of the Agency, Alh Shehu Muhammed Dange stated this when he received the zonal delegation from National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON)

Alh Shehu Muhammed Dange maintained that the agency has commenced the process for the establishment of a unit to cater for the scheme in the state headquarters of the Agency as directed by the NAHCON.

The leader of the delegation who is also the Commissioner in charge of North West of the Commission Alh.Umar Garba Kyadawa said they were in the state to assess the level of preparedness so far reached by the Agency in the area of the new Hajj Saving Scheme as well as to inspect the projects executed by NAHCON through Hajj Development Levy (HDL).

The zonal Commissioner was accompanied on the visit by the Sokoto zonal coordinator Alh Isma’ila Gambo and his deputy Alh.Garba Yakubu. Others in attendance are the Directors of the Agency and some management staff
