Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has issued a seven day deadline for the state registered intending pilgrims to hasten payment of their balance of Hajj fare as recently approved by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) last week or risk forfeit the chance to perform this year hajj.

The Overseer of the Board, Imam Hussaini Sulaiman Tsoho issue the ultimatum during an interview with journalists in Kaduna.
According to the overseer “pilgrims have only one week to make the payment or forfeit their chance to make the trip as NAHCON has also fixed deadline for remittance of the fare”

The Overseer explained that payment would enable the process of acquiring visa to commence and the need to pay the balance of the fare to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) on schedule.
National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has last week approved a flat rate of N1,535,505 as the Hajj fare for Kaduna State intending pilgrims for this year’s hajj in Saudi Arabia.

The Hajj fare was arrived after computation of all hajj components, including accommodation in Makkah and Madinah.
A total of six thousand pilgrims in the state have already made deposits of between N800, 000 and N1.2m with the Board.
