Our Hospitality has unveiled a new version of Makarem Ajyad Makkah Hotel, by the spiritual tourism hotel brand Makarem, after completing a full renovation that involved all rooms, suites and facilities.

The renovation stems from Dur Hospitality’s strategy to improve the hospitality experience in the holy city of Makkah by reflecting international hospitality standards while enriching the spiritual experience of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

The enhanced Makarem Ajyad Makkah corresponds to the heritage of the Makarem brand in serving pilgrims for decades, capitalising on experience, know-how, and technology in serving visitors of the holy cities during their spiritual journey through a seamless approach that infuses affluent accommodation with authentic hospitality, a statement from Dur Hospitality said.

Our Hospitality CEO Sultan Al-Otaibi indicated that the relaunch of the hotel confirms that the company’s approach seeking constant development has not been impacted by the repercussions of the post-pandemic reality.

“The full renovation of Makarem Ajyad Makkah reflects the developmental approach Dur has led as the owner and developer of the project. It also represents our strategy to advance hospitality across the Kingdom, especially in the holy cities to which our government gives special care as they are recognised by Saudi Vision 2030 through its goal of increasing the number of pilgrims to 30 million by 2030.

“With its full suite of advanced services, the hotel is considered the perfect accommodation option in Makkah, located only a short distance from the Holy Mosque.”

Our Hospitality President of Hotel Operations Hassan Al Ahdab said: “The significant part of the full-scale modernisation of Makarem Ajyad is prioritising advanced technology and integrating it into all areas of management, keeping pace with global hospitality trends, especially following the new normal impacting various aspects of living including health and social interactions and necessitating the adoption of the highest safety standards.

“The renovation of the hotel’s suites which targets Hajj and Umrah performers from Saudi Arabia and the GCC, as well as the addition of a grab and go store and a restaurant for large groups, serves our strategy to attract more visitors and tourists, particularly pilgrims, contributing to realising the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.”

Situated at the heart of the holy city of Makkah, the hotel is within walking distance from the Holy Mosque and the Makkah Clock Royal Tower. Designed with wide-open spaces and comfortable facilities, the hotel offers services for all guests from various groups, especially Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, as the hotel includes a spacious prayer room and boasts a restaurant and a café in the main hall, in addition to a library, and a shop selling Hajj and Umrah supplies and snacks.-
