The Executive Chairman of Yobe State Hajj Commission, Alh Bukar Kime said support and provision of needed logistics in addition to the donation of over 1, 000 mattresses by the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni contributed in no small measure to the orderly beahviour Yobe State Pilgrims both in Nigeria and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during this year hajj.
Mr Kime disclosed this during an interview with INDEPENDENT HAJJ REPORTERS in his office in Makkah on Wednesday
“Our Executive Governor His Excellency Mai Mala Buni has been given us all the logistical, moral and financial support to the commission. Another factor is the provision of 1,000 mattresses by the Executive Governor as these enhance our operations and also has even boosted our pilgrims’ morale. The governor has provided all that we requested for and that has really motivated our pilgrims.
However, Mr Kime said Yobe state encounter some challenges during 2019 hajj. Some of the challenges according to him are: “Lukewram attitudes of some pilgrims in balancing their payment which affect preparations for 2019 hajj.”
“Another major challenge highlighted by the Chairman was the unwillingness of the pilgrims to attend hajj enlightenments that could have equipped them more during hajj.”
