IN DETAILS: Haram Presidency to increase Capacity of Grand Mosque in Ramadan as Hajj Ministry issue guidelines

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced new health mechanisms and requirements for issuing Umrah, prayers and visit permits during the blessed month of Ramadan.

 

The new guideline were released today 23 Shaaban 1442 AH corresponding to April 05, 2021 AD in Makkah Al-Mukarramah as reported by Saudi Press Agency.

An official source at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah stated that, based on the wise leadership’s keenness on the health and safety of those visiting the Two Holy Mosques and those working for their service with the close proximity of the blessed month of Ramadan the following measure has been adopted:

 

The operational capacity of the Grand Mosque in Makkah will be raise with adherence to all precautionary measures and preventive measures issued by the competent authorities, in accordance with the following controls:

  1. Granting permits to perform Umrah and prayers in the Grand Mosque and visit the Prophet’s Mosque with effect from 1st Ramadan will only be allowed for immunized persons and such status must be shown by the (Tawakulna) application for immunization categories

 

  1. A person who received two doses of the Coronavirus vaccine or a vaccine who spent 14 days after receiving the first dose of the vaccine, or a person recovering from the infection).
  2. Reservation of permits to perform Umrah, prayers and visit rituals will be through the (Umrah) and (Tawakolna) apps, by reserving the available time slot according to the wish of the guest of Rahman and in line with the possible operational capacity to apply the precautionary measures.
    Viewing the permits and verifying their validity will be through the (Tawakolna) application, directly from the account of the beneficiary of the permit in the application.

The source confirmed that the main and approved platform for obtaining permits through the (Umrah) and (Tawakolna) app, warning of campaigns and fake websites.
