The Chairman/CEO, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Bar. Zikrullah Kunle Hassan has appreciated the patience and understanding of intending Pilgrims amidst uncertainties caused by COVID-19 pandemic.

Hassan, in a Sallah message he personally signed and sent to Hajj Reporters on Thursday, thanked the intending Pilgrims for what he described as unalloyed support and constant prayers to the success of NAHCON.

“To the general public and our numerous intending pilgrims, we  at NAHCON appreciate the unalloyed support and prayers constantly being extended for the success of the Commission.

“We appreciate the deep understanding and patience displayed in the midst of many uncertainties regarding recent Hajj operations due to the Covid-19 pandemic. May the blessings of the foregone Ramadan bring solutions to our numerous challenges. We pray that Allah blesses us all with enlarged sustenance and protection to witness many more Ramadan periods and Hajj mabrur in future,” part of the statement reads.

The NAHCON Chairman/CEO also congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari, describing the President as hardworking, while praying to Allah to guide him and assist his administration.

“I wish to congratulate the hardworking president of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari on this occasion of Eid el Fitr and pray for Allah’s special guidance and assistance in his administration of our great country,”

Bar. Hassan also congratulated and appreciated the members of National Assembly for their continued support to NAHCON.

He also commended the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation for its open door stance to NAHCON as the commission’s mother agency.

“I equally congratulate members of the National Assembly of Nigeria and appreciate them for their continued support to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). Equally, the same sincere appreciation goes to NAHCON’s mother agency, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) for its open door stance to the Commission.

“Similarly, I extend our warmest well wishes to our royal fathers, state chief executives, members of the diplomatic corps and pray for good health, peace and success for all in a world affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Our prayers from NAHCON will continue to be for world peace and prosperity: for Nigeria to overcome her challenges and for international Hajj to always be a reality so that Muslims will be able to fulfill a vital pillar of their faith.

“Eid mubarak from the NAHCON board members, management and entire staff.

All praises belong to the Almighty for the gift of life to witness another glorious day of Eid el fitr. When we recall that millions were not this lucky to exist from last Ramadan to date, we realize how fortunate we are to remain among the living. May all our acts of worship be accepted and our shortcomings be expiated through the special mercy of Allah.

On this special day, our associates in the Hajj industry from within and outside the country are especially remembered.
