Insecurity: Niger pilgrims offer special prayer in Makkah, Saudi Arabia

2022 Hajj Pilgrims from Niger state has today in Saudi Arabia observed a special prayer for an end to the challenge of banditry, kidnapping, hunger and other related vices that had bedevilled Niger state in particular and Nigeria in general.

Executive Secretary Niger state Pilgrims Welfare Board Alh Umar Makun Lapai who led the pilgrims and hajj officials during the prayer said the country needs special prayer at the moment.

The prayer was held inside the Grand Mosque of Makkah today at 9am in the morning after circumumbulation tawaf by all the pilgrims and the officials.

 

According to him prayers remain the only viable option in bringing an end to the current security challenges which had continued un abated and called for all hands to be on deck to ensure its success.

Alh Umar Makun Lapai further said all the pilgrims from Niger state are hale and healthy and are expected to move to Madina from Mecca for some visitation any monent from now.

On the problem of abscondment by some pilgrims during annual hajj the Executive Secretary Niger state Pilgrims Welfare Board added that their pilgrims are well cultured and that will not embark on that shameful act.
