JUST IN: Bauchi Commence Payment of Hajj 2019 Refunds Monday

Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board said it has “concluded arrangements for the refund of reduction of the 2019 hajj fare as well as for services not rendered to the affected pilgrims”.

A statement signed by the information’s officer, Muhammad Sani Yunusa said the exercise which is scheduled to take place on Monday, 14th December 2020 to Thursday 17th December 2020 will cover the 2019 pilgrims from the state:’

The statement said, “Pilgrims who paid their fares directly through the board headquarters and those who were offered governments’ slots will be refunded on Monday, 14th December at the board secretariat while pilgrims from Alkaleri and Kirfi local government areas will gather in Alkaleri for the exercise”.

“Pilgrims from Darazo, Dambam and Misau will collect their refund at Misau LG Secretariat while those from Katagum LG will be refunded in Azare, headquarters of the local government on the same day.

The following day Tuesday 15th December 2020, pilgrims from Dass, Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro LGs will assemble in Bununu for the refund and those from Ganjuwa, Warji and Ningi, are to collect their refund in Ningi while those from Zaki and Gamawa LGs will gather in Gamawa for the refund.

On Wednesday 16th December 2020, the exercise will hold in Toro for pilgrims from Toro LG, and those from Jama’are and Itas-Gadau LGs will collect their refund at Jama’are LG Secretariat.

The exercise will end on Thursday, 17th December 2020 with pilgrims from Bauchi local government area which will hold at the LG Secretariat in Bauchi as well as Shira and Giade LGs at Shira LG Secretariat.

“All affected pilgrims are expected to show up at their respective venues with their E-Passports, Bank-Tellers and Payment Receipts by 9 o’clock in the morning.

The statement added that “no payment will be made through proxy”
