JUST IN: Katsina begins Pilgrims Registration for Hajj 2021

Katsina State Muslims Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has commenced registration of intending pilgrims in Katsina State for Hajj 2021 exercise.

A press statement signed by the Public Relations officer of the board, Badaru Karofi said, the Executive Secretary of the board Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu Kuki has formally authorised the collection of deposit from intending pilgrims across the seven zonal pilgrims offices in the state in the state”.

“The statement said the Executive Governor of the state Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari approved the commencement of 2021 Hajj and collection of five hundred thousand naira (N500,000,00) only from intending Pilgrims as Hajj Deposit with the following conditions:

“That the payment must be made through a certified bank draft payable to Katsina state Pilgrims welfare board.”

The statement said “while the board is waiting for the approved allocation and the guidelines from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and the NAHCON on the conduct of the 2021 Hajj, the registration exercise will continue ion all the seven zonal pilgrims offices which include Katsina, Funtua, Malumfashi, Dutsinma, kankia, Daura and Mani pilgrims Zonal offices respectively.

The boars have also directed Hajj 2020 intending Pilgrims who had earlier signified their intention to roll over their deposits to Hajj 2021 to make additional payments at their respective zones.

“Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu Kuki reiterated the commitment of the board to apply the principle of first-come, first-serve by giving priority to Hajj 2020 intending pilgrims that had made a financial commitment with the board.

He, therefore, expressed gratitude to the state government under the leadership of His Excellency Rt. Honourable Aminu Bello Masari and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria for the continued assistance and support to the board in discharging its duty.
