JUST IN: Kwara Pilgrims’ board begins second dose of COVID-19 vaccine exercise

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine exercise on the state’s intending Pilgrims.

HAJJ REPORTERS gathered that the exercise has commenced on Monday at the board’s premises, located at Islamic Villiage, along  Gerewu area Adewole Estate off Mandate market Road, Ilorin at about 10:00am.

 

The exercise commence with the administer of the vaccine  on the Chairman of the board, Dr Abdulkadir Sambo Sambaqi, then followed  by the Executive Secretary of the board, Barrister Ganiyu Ishola Ahmed.

 

They were first vaccinated at the presence of the total large number of pilgrims from Ilorin West, Moro, and Asa Local Government Area of the Kwara State.

 

Speaking after receiving the jab, the Executive Secretary, Ahmed said the COVID-19 vaccination exercise was purposely meant to prevent all the intending pilgrims in the state and the non indigenes from contracting the virus.

 

The Exercise was scheduled to end on 18/06/2021.
