Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Alhaji Abubakar Babangida
The newly appointed Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Alhaji Abubakar Babangida has formally assumed duty on Tuesday.
He took over from his predecessor, Mal Alkasim Danlami Shall who has been on acting capacity.
Addressing a large gathering of well-wishers and the management of the board, Alhaji Abubakar Babangida who is the Tafidan Giade, thanked Governor Bala Muhammad for giving him the mandate to serve in that capacity and prayed for Allahu SWT to guide and support him in the discharge of this noble task.
Alhaji Babangida called on staff of the board to give him the necessary support to enable him to justify the confidence reposed in him.
According to him, all hands must be on deck to support the present administration to achieve its aims and objectives.
In his remarks, the special adviser to the Governor on pilgrims affairs, Alh. Isa Babayo Tilde, congratulated the new ES Talban Giade for his appointment and pledged to support him in order to achieve.
Isa Babayo Tilde has also reiterated the effort of this administration to accord desire support to hajj operation in the state.
He, therefore, called on the good people of the state to continue to pray for Governor Bala Muhammad administration to achieve.
Earlier, in his welcome address, the former Ag. Executive of the board Malam Alkasim Danlami Shall congratulated the new Executive Secretary and expressed a determination of all staff to support the ES to achieve.
Alkasim described the appointment of Executive Secretary and the Special Adviser as a blessing to the board.
He told the new ES that in order to avoid last-minute rush, registration of new intending pilgrims and collection of hajj deposits have continued.
On the training of intending Pilgrims, the former acting ES disclosed that plans have reached an advanced stage for the airing of enlightenment programmes via electric media in order to ease congestion of large number of people.
