Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards said it will soon adopt a system that will make it possible for everyone to see the number of pilgrims that are registered by the board at any particular points in time.

The Overseer of the board, Sani Dalhatu Musa disclosed this to HAJJ REPORTERS in a telephone conversation earlier today.

The Overseer said ‘though NAHCON has centralized a database like a system which made it possible to know the status of pilgrims registration across the country but Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims board will soon convert its current system of updating pilgrims registration statistics by local government pilgrims officers.

“If any pilgrim’s officer register pilgrim in his or her local government, he immediately updates his record within 30 minutes and sends it to us at the headquarter. That is why we can tell you how many tellers were issued, how many of those who collected teller make payments and how much”

The system will help us a lot in terms of time-saving and trust-building. Hajj operations is about timing. Every activity has its commencement and termination schedules and ones you fail to utilize a particular time for what it is allocated for, it will have a spillover effect on other activities.

He further revealed that “plans are underway to train the local government pilgrims’ officers for effective and efficient service delivery to the pilgrims”
