Kano moves 3000 pilgrims from Madinah to Makkah

About 3000 pilgrims from Kano state participating in this year’s Hajj exercise have been lived from Madinah to Makkah.
The Executive Secretary of Kano state Muslim Pilgrims Board, Muhammad Abba Dambatta, who briefed newsmen in Madinah on Monday said a team of Medical officials, Welfare officers and other necessary officials has already been drafted to Makkah to ensure the safe stay of Kano Pilgrims.
Me Danbatta said enlightenment’s have been stationed in all the five building accommodating pilgrims from the state both in Madinah and Makkah.
He said pilgrims are constantly being guided on the need to respect laws and regulations put in place by Saudi Arabian authorities.
The Executive Secretary said although two pilgrims from Kano have died, there a no widespread report of illness making the Kano contingent.
On payment of Hadaya, the Secretary hinted that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has directed all States Welfare Boards to ask pilgrims to pay through Jaiz Bank
He however, said ” NAHCON’s directives does not stop the fact that the Hadaya payment is optional for every Pilgrim to pay according to his wish or to even do it on his own”.
Muhammad Abba added that already, a Director of the Board has been appointed to ensure smooth Hadaya process for pilgrims without hitches.
” And we abundantly made it clear to every Pilgrim that he has the right to pay his Hadaya money at any point he so wishes, and already some of our Pilgrims have started paying their money from Kano”
