Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has disbursed new branded Laptop Computers to its Centre Officers across forty four Local Government areas of Kano State
Speaking during the distribution exercise, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Muhammad Abba Dambatta, said the move was to ensure effective service delivery by the beneficiaries during the Hajj Operations exercise
Alhaji Muhammad Abba Dambatta revealed that the new initiative followed the approval by the Executive Governor of Kano State Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on that regards with a view to making the officers to comply with Information Technology
He further recalled that a recently the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria launched the newly introduced Hajj Servings Scheme in Kano aimed at giving the opportunity to low income earners to attend Hajj exercise without difficulties
The Executive Secretary added that with the introduction of the new scheme, the Board deemed it necessary to provide its teeming Staffers with modern working equipment more especially the Pilgrims Center Officers in view of the huge task and responsibility they are shouldered during every operation exercise.
The Chief executive of the Agency told the gathering that, his leadership has come up with various plans and strategies aimed at enhancing intending Pilgrims Welfare before, during and after Hajj operations
Alhaji Muhammad Abba Dambatta also used the medium to expressed his appreciation to the Governor of Kano State on behalf of his management, Board members and other staff of the Board for his total support and cooperation to the Board which he described as the secret behind success the Board has recorded in the last Hajj Operations
Speaking, the Center officer of Rimin Gado Local Government area, Two polling Alhaji Yusuf Sale Doka-Dawa, who doubled as the state Chairman of the Forum of Centre Officers, hailed the foresight of the leadership of the Board for the new initiative which he described as the first of its kind in the history of the Hajj Operations in Kano
He assured to utilize the Computers judiciously with a view to achieving the intended mission
