Governor Aminu Bello Masari says the present APC administration in Katsina state spends not less than one point five billion Naira for the conduct of Hajj exercise annually.

Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari was speaking when he received the immediate past Amirul Hajj, Alhaji Muntari Lawal who is also the chief of staff during the presentation of the Award to Governor for outstanding performance giving to him by the National Hajj Commission.

Alhaji Aminu Masari explained that the immediate past Amirul Hajj utilizes both financial and human resources to achieve success in the conduct of the 2019 Hajj exercise, which is being celebrated in Katsina state, Nigeria and the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Today, he said the present APC administration conducted four Hajj exercises, but the supervision of Alhaji Muntari Lawal as Amirul Hajj stands out as the best.

On accommodation, Governor Aminu Masari explained that the Amirul Hajj played a significant role towards solving the problems created by the chairman and members of the pilgrim’s welfare board, which led to the dissolution of the board after the Hajj exercise.

Alhaji Aminu Masari said the Amirul Hajj proved sceptics wrong through a well-coordinated Hajj exercise.

He advised that henceforth future Amirul Hajj needed the prayers of all and sundry to achieve success instead of undue criticisms, adding that a leader needs to galvanize the support of the followership for the success of the assigned responsibility.

Henceforth, Governor Aminu Masari warned that whoever again performs woefully in securing accommodation will be sacked even before he returns to Nigeria from the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Earlier before presenting the award to the Governor, the immediate past, Amirul Hajj Alhaji Muntari Lawal explained that his name was only written on the award but the credit goes to Governor Aminu Bello Masari who first assigned him the task and provided him with the requirements to achieve success.

Alhaji Muntari Lawal, therefore, dedicated the award to the Governor whom he described as a friend, mentor and boss.

He expressed happiness because the award presentation in Abuja was highly witnessed by dignitaries from Katsina state, the country and even the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He also expressed gratitude to the ulama, the Hajj team, staff of Katsina state pilgrims welfare board and security agents who contributed to the success of the Hajj exercise.
