Katsina Refunds pilgrims for services not rendered during 2019 Hajj

Katsina State Muslim Pilgrims board said it has started refund to 3, 100 pilgrims from the state that participated in 2019 Hajj.

A statement signed by the boards spokesperson, Badaru Karofi Wednesday said “the repayment was a refund for unutilized hajj deposits from Saudi Ministry of Hajj and unrendered services which were facilitated by NAHCON after the 2019 hajj.

“The Executive Director Katsina State Pilgrim’s Welfare Board, Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu kuki disclosed this to Newsmen while supervising the refund exercise saying the Executive Governor of the State Rt Hon .Aminu Bello Masari has approved the disbursement”, the statement said.

It also quoted the Executive Director as saying only pilgrims who paid their Hajj fares through the Board and those offered Government slots are entitled to the refund.

He commended the Governor for the approval and assured the public of the State Government’s commitment towards the welfare of pilgrims in the state

He also called on intending pilgrims who had made deposits to balance up their fares to avoid losing their slots.
