KWHA praises Muslim pilgrims board over excellence performance

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has been commended for the excellent performance during 2019 Hajj exercises in the state.

 

The Kwara State House of Assembly Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Judiciary made the commendation during its familiarization visit to the Board.

 

The Chairman of the committee, Hon Ganiyu Folabi Salau noted with pleasure the Board had done the state proud through its excellent performance in the just concluded hajj exercise.

 

He said that the visit which was part of the committee oversight function particularly expressed satisfaction with the accommodation and feeding arrangements put in place by the Board in Saudi Arabia.

 

While advising the Board to sustain the good tempo, he assured the Board of the state parliament’s support for optimal performance in the future hajj exercise.

 

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Muhammed Tunde-Jimoh according to a statement issued by Hajia Hauwa Abdulkadir of the Board’s Press unit, appreciated the committee for the visit which he described as historical.

 

He attributed the Board’s success to the support he enjoyed from the state government and promised to sustain the good tempo in the future hajj exercise.

 

He solicited for the House of Assembly’s support to achieve to set goals.

 

The special prayer was offered by Chief Imam of the Board, Ustaz Mahmud Abdulkabir for the Board and the state in general.
