Lagos to refund 2022 Hajj intending pilgrims’ Hajj fare Tuesday

Arrangements have been concluded by the Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board to effect the refund of Hajj fare paid by some intending Pilgrims for the 2022 holy pilgrimage.

 

A statement issued by the Board on Wednesday, indicates that the exercise will take place on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the Shamsi Adisa Thomas (SAT) Mosque Hall,  old Secretariat, GRA, Ikeja.

 

According to the statement, the beneficiaries are those intending pilgrims who willingly applied for refund of the Hajj fare paid between 2019 and 2022 for the exercise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

The beneficiaries (both the living and deceased) are expected to fulfill some requirements before getting the refund.

 

Those in the ‘I’m alive’  category are expected to produce the original and photocopies of receipt of payment, two passport photographs and any one of the followings; utility bills (PHCN, LAWMA, etc.), proof of residency (LASRRA card) or data page of their International passport.

 

In the case of the deceased, the Next of Kins are expected to produce original and photocopies of the followings: death certificate (from Government owned Hospitals, Health Centres, LASUTH, etc.), obituary, payment receipt and the data page of deceased International Passport.

 

Others include two passport photographs of the Next of Kin, utility bill (PHCN, LAWMA, etc.) as well as proof of residency (LASRRA card).

 

The statement added that an indemnity form would be filled by all the beneficiaries at the venue.

 

The Board expressed appreciation to those concerned for their patience and understanding.
