The Incoming Chairman/CEO Barrister Zikirullah Hassan and the Acting Chairman/CEO of the Commission Barr Abdullahi Mukthar Muhammad has met with the Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University Prof Ibrahim Garba in order to discuss partnership towards the establishment of Hajj training institute.
The meeting was held to discuss the establishment of the Hajj Training Institute in conjunction and partnership with Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Bayero University Kano and the University of Ummul Qura. The Hajj Training Institutes has been a project on the pipeline geared towards creating a professional standard on hajj administration in the country
NAHCON’s Director Admin and Human resources Dr Ibrahim Sodangi and Ahmad Maigari the Acting Secretary of the Commission are among those that attended the meeting
The Incoming Chairman Barrister Zikirullah observed that other professions like photography and event management have been professionalized and being fully studied in universities, hence the need for establishing the institute in order to weed out quacks from Hajj management.
