NEW DEVELOPMENT: Haj pilgrims required to use Saudi Visa Bio app this year

Malaysian TABUNG Haji (TH) announced that the Saudi Arabia government has enforced the use of Saudi Visa Bio application for the prospective haj pilgrims that will be going on pilgrimage this year.

TH ED Datuk Seri Syed Saleh Syed Abdul Rahman said all prospective pilgrims are required to download the Saudi Visa Bio application on their smartphones through either the Google Play store or the Apple app store.

“Prospective pilgrims will receive a registration confirmation email from the Saudi Arabia Foreign Ministry when the personal information has been successfully uploaded into the application via registered email.

“The Saudi Visa Bio application is a new innovation introduced by the Saudi Arabia government during the Haj season this year which aims to facilitate visa application in addition to shortening the entry procedure period for prospective haj to the Holy Land through Jeddah and Medina,” he said in a statement today.

Syed Saleh also said Malaysia is one of the few countries in the world alongside Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Kuwait, the UK, Tunisia and Morocco that is selected for this pilot project.

This is because he said the Saudi government considers Malaysia’s reputation as one of the world’s best haj operator that has received various international recognition.

The prospective pilgrims will only have to submit their passports to TH after receiving the confirmation from the app.

More information regarding the Saudi Visa Bio application could be found at TH’s official website www.tabunghaji.gov.my or on the official TH social media.

TH is also open for inquiries on the matter through their contact centre at 03-62071919, fax (03-77284959) or emai
