Niger Completes Hajj 2022 Operation as 2265 pilgrims return home

Niger state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare board has completed the return airlift of all its pilgrims from Hajj 2022.

The State Amirul Hajj, His Royal Highness Alh Muhammad Barau Mu’azu II has therefore, expressed satisfaction on the 2022 Hajj operation despite the hitches encountered by the state contingent during the outbound journey.

 

The Amirul Hajj made this known shortly after the last outbound flight carrying the State Pilgrims from King Abdul Azeez International Airport Jeddah landed in Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja in the early hours of Sunday.

 

The Amirul Hajj thanked His Excellency Alh (Dr) Abubakar Sani Bello for the trust conferred on him by giving him the opportunity to serve the State.

A statement by the spokesperson of the board, Hassana Isah said Alh Muhammad Barau also commended the Executive Secretary of the Board Alh Umar Makun, the Board Members and the Management for discharging their responsibilities diligently and urged them to maintain the tempo.

 

It could be recalled that Niger State Pilgrims started their return journey on Friday August 5, with Five Hundred and Forty Four (554) pilgrims.

“All the Two Thousand, Two Hundred and Sixty Five (2,265) registered Pilgrims from the State are back home,” the statement said.
