Niger Pilgrims Boss Congratulates New NAHCON Board

The Acting Executive Secretary of Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board Alh Umar Makun Lapai, on behalf of the Niger State Government, felicitates with Barrister Zikhirullah Hassan, on his recent appointment as the new Chairman of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and the Board Members by President Muhammad Buhari.

 

Alh Makun described the appointment of Barrister Hassan as apt, considering his pedigree in Hajj Operations. He urged the new Chairman to see the appointment as a challenge not only for repositioning the Commission but also a task of taking it to a lofty height.

 

The statement added that, the great sacrifice made by the predecessors, and in particular, the immediate past Chairman, Barrister Abdullahi Mukhtar, in exiting the country from chaotic Hajj exercise of the past that most often left a Nigerian Pilgrim in anguish, but also the digitalization of the hajj processes must be consolidated.

 

The Acting Executive Secretary Alh Umar Makun said Niger State is not in doubt whatsoever in the capabilities of the new chairman in making Nigeria a role model in the comity of nations in the area of Hajj Operations. Nigerian Pilgrims are optimistic to witness changes and innovations as you steer the affairs of the commission. It is imperative to note that transformation is easier by consolidating, particularly on sound foundation earlier made.

 

He further concluded by wishing the new Chairman a successful tenure in office and assured him of the State’s readiness to give all necessary cooperation for any process capable of re-engineering the ease for carrying out Hajj Operations that will improve upon what is obtainable now.
