Niger Refund N500 Million Hajj Fare Deposit to Pilgrims

Niger state pilgrims welfare board said it has refunded N500 Million to the State intending Pilgrims that applied for the refund of their  2020/2021 Hajj fare deposit.

This was disclosed today by the Executive Secretary Alh Umar Makun Lapai during a joint Management and Staff meeting of the board. Alhaji Makun however, informed the  meeting that the refund for the remaining intending Pilgrims that applied is still in process while their respective Area Pilgrims Welfare Officers  (APWOs) will be communicated as soon as possible as the release of the refund is treated according to when submissions were made by the Local Governments.

The Executive Secretary of the Board emphasized at the meeting that the earlier date slated for closure for the receive of applications from the Intending Pilgrims, is still 14th August,2021.

He further appealed to the Intending Pilgrims to exercise patience as they await their 100%.refund.
