Normalcy Returns as 2500 Zamzam Dispensers placed in Masjid Al Haram

Normalcy is returning to the Two Holy Mosques amid decreasing cases of COVID-19 in the Kingdom. The Ministry of Health on Tuesday announced less than 100 cases for the third consecutive day.

 

The General Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques since Muharram is gradually easing the precautionary measures in the Holy Mosques and returning to normalcy keeping in view the pandemic situation and the rise in influx of Pilgrims providing them a safe environment.

In the past few weeks some precautionary measures were relaxed and returned to normalcy which included:

 

Replacing the Mushafs (Quran) in the Mosques

Return of classes in the Haram Institute

Return of Live Lectures in the Haram

Reducing the Physical Distancing in Salah due to increase in capacity

Increasing the Daily Pilgrim Capacity to 70,000

Return of Zamzam Dispensers in Masjid Al Nabawi

Return of Children above the ages of 12 in the Haramain

 

The Ministry of Hajj recently announced that 6,000 Umrah Visas were issued to foreign pilgrims in the month of Muharram 1443 and they were preparing to receive an ‘influx’ of Pilgrims from abroad from the month of Rabi Al Awwal.
