The Amirul Hajj of Lagos State, Dr Abdul-Hakeem Abdul-Lateef has urged Pilgrims to act according to the laid down rules guiding the doctrine of Hajj exercise in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Amirul Hajj gave this advise yesterday at a sensitisation lecture while hosting DAWAH group of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON at the Lagos House in Makkah.

Dr Abdul-Lateef emphasised that pilgrims must shun fake news and sermons from deceitful clerics who intend to mislead them from the righteous path and fraudulently take away their money.

He pointed out that the task ahead in completing the Hajj rites at Mount Arafat, Musdalifah and Muna requires team work and self-determination for success to be achieved.

While commending the pilgrims for conducting themselves morally so far in Makkah, Dr Abdul-Lateef tasked the pilgrims to maintain the discipline and the fear of Allah inculcated in them during the several sensitisation lectures at every solat times.

In a remark, the team leader of DAWAH group, Sheik AbdulRasheed Adiatullahi who urged the pilgrims to reserve their energy for the task ahead, sensitised them on the required process for the remaining Hajj rites and what is expected of them at each stage.

He advised the pilgrims to manage their health status well before embarking on the journey to Muna as it involves lots of energy-sapping activities.

As part of the efforts to further position the pilgrims for successful Hajj exercise, Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Board also organised Arabic session’s for the pilgrims to broaden their knowledge and ensure that they have all it takes to perform an acceptable hajj.

Meanwhile, pilgrims are using the opportunity of their leisure time to do shopping for themselves and their loved ones within and outside Makkah.
