Ogun State Partner Jaiz Bank on Hajj Savings Scheme

Ogun State Government has promised to collaborate with Jaiz Bank Plc over the Hajj Savings Scheme introduced by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria(NAHCON) in year 2020.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Salau Dauda who made the promise  while receiving the Management of Jaiz Bank Plc. in his Office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, stated that the scheme is no course and that for “the Scheme to be fully accepted by the people, the Bank as part of its operation, should  embark on adequate  sensitization in order to inform, enlighten, and educate relevant stakeholders about the Scheme, adding that physical structure of the bank in the State would go a long way in convincing the people on its authenticity.

Alhaji Salau, affirmed that the Ogun State Government led by Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the  procurement of necessary equipment for the smooth running of the Scheme, saying the Board is ready to set the ball rolling.

 

He appreciated the Government for its unflinching support given the Board and leaving no stone unturn  despite the cancellation of international pilgrimage  in the last two consecutive years.

 

While speaking, the Unit Head, Private Banking Institutional Banking Group, Mr. Shakirudeen Aminu appreciated the State Board for her understanding and cooperation in the implementation of the Scheme, urging them not to relent on their support which would go a long way in succeeding together.

 

Aminu further solicited for continuous support of the Board as the organisation is already working on having a physical structure in the State, assuring that other necessary support in the area of equipping the Scheme’s office at the Board and sensitisation programme would be looked into by its Management at ensuring adequate synergy between the Board and Jaiz Bank.
