OPSH partners Plateau Muslim Pilgrims board on peace building
The Commander of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Major General Augustine Agundu has sued for collaboration of the Plateau state Muslims pilgrims’ board in order to promote peace in the state.
Major General Agundu accompanied Assistant Commissioner of Police Emmanuel Ado made call Thursday during a Courtesy visit to the office Executive Secretary of the board Barr. Auwal Abdullahi.
He said: “In Operation Safe Have, we can do more little if we don’t associate with our Islamic leaders, Christian leaders to support us.”
Agundu said it is quite auspicious for him to visit the board being a government agency because it is Ramadan period, where Muslims are using it to pray for the State.
“We appreate in totality the board, of guiding the Muslim ummah, I have foolwed closely all the steps taken to make the pilgrims much comfortable,” he said.
The commander said the OPSH, will be happy to collaborate with the board.
Executive Secretary of the board Barr Auwal Abdullahi, said the Nigerian Security is a powerful institution that is known for its good work of instilling peace and discpilne not only in Nigeria but the world over.
“In the last three years Plateau State has become the envy of all in Nigeria, as far as peace is concern, because of the relentless efforts of you,” he told the Commander.
