Over 1000 Katsina State pilgrims airlifted to Saudi Arabia in two flights

As the airlift of Nigeria pilgrims to Saudi Arabia progresses, Katsina state Muslim pilgrims boards said it has been able to coordinate its pilgrims during pre departure screening and boarding of flight without challenges.

 

On 23rd of June, Max airline airlifted a total number of 554 pilgrims from Katsina state and arrived Jeddah same day making Katsina state as one of the states with largest number of pilgrims in a single flight. As at today, a total number of 1,093 pilgrims has been transported to Saudi Arabia.

 

Speaking to HAJJ REPORTERS, The Public Relations officer of the board, Alh Badaru Karofi said the board under the leadership of Alh Sulieman Nuhu Kuki is determined to conducts a free hitch hajj exercise starting from airlift as witnessed in the two previous flights in the state.

 

“Today, another set of 539 pilgrims has been airlifted to Jeddah by Max airline without any pre departure ‘teething problems’. The board in collaboration with NAHCON will work harder to ensure that the remaining flights are conducted without hitches.

 

Reacting to the airlift procedure, an intending pilgrims, Alh Umar Bako stated that “the seamlessness and the orderly manner in which the boards conducts is pre departure activities has boost the confidence of 2022 hajj pilgrims from the state. We only hope that the board will repeat the same feat in subsequent flights and other services.

 

NAHCON allocates 2, 146 slots to Katsina state for 2022 hajj exercise.
