Review of FRCN LIVE programme on Hajj 2020 aired last Friday

The Director of Audit, Alh. Muhammad Hamman Joda of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria ( NAHCON) has revealed that 2020 Hajj will hold as soon as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia makes an official announcement.

 

The Director Audit emphasized that all arrangements have been perfected and the Hajj Operations would go on smoothly without any hindrance despite the COVID 19 pandemics.

 

He gave this assurance while featuring on the weekly NAHCON’s sponsored programme called ‘ Hajj a Spiritual Journey ‘ last Friday.

The programme is a LIVE and one is opened for members to participate by either asking questions or making comments. The programme attracted the caller a from Abeokuta, Ogun State asking on whether the Hajj 2020 would hold or not . ? The Director while responding to the question maintained that Hajj 2020 could hold and advising intending pilgrims to go ahead and complete their payments to avoid last hour rush.

 

‘Be prepared to embark on the Spiritual Journey as soon as possible’ he affirmed

During the programme session, a question was asked that when Would the Hajj fare be made public, in his response, he stated that perhaps it will be announced next week if everything works well .

 

The Programme dwells on the Components of Hajj. The Director took the pains and clearly explained all the components in Hajj package. Infact he revealed 23 items of the Components of Hajj package which arrived at the current Hajj fare of 2019.

 

Another vital area the programme highlighted is the issue allegation that some money from Hajj package goes to the pocket of individuals which some times went viral. The Director debunked the allegation as baseless and unfounded. He queried how can such a huge amount of money goes to the individuals. Preparation of Hajj package is always done in the most transparent manner, each decision involves various stakeholders such as apart from NAHCON,  State pilgrims welfare Board, NAMA, FAAN, ministry of Aviation etc
