Sheikh Ali Al Hudaify delivered the Jummah Khutbah in Masjid Al Nabawi, Madinah on 22 Safar 1442 corresponding to 9 October 2020.
The Khateeb began the sermon by saying: “Allah created this universe and deposited in it all the sustenance, goods, adornment, money, livestock, etc. He created the universe and made it all for the interests of creation and their benefits, And in the abundance and diversity of its benefits for those who harness the reasons for the survival of life, then he quoted the words of the Quran “and do not spoil the earth after reforming it” that is after the messengers reformed it with the revealed books, and that the Almighty has told us that he did not create this universe in vain and did not leave it in vain, and that he had sent the messengers, the last of whom was their master Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him), to reform the land with obedience and cleanse it of polytheism and wrongdoing.
Allah also commanded the messengers, prayers and peace be upon them, to enjoy the good things that Allah has permitted in life.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Do not belittle any good deed, even meeting your brother (Muslim) with a cheerful face”.
His eminence concluded the sermon by saying: “O believers, Take this universe as a time and place for obedience, and as for those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and disbelieve, then take this universe as a time and place for desires, forbidden and fleeting pleasures, and committing evil and the greatest sins, and that major sins come in the greatness of criminality after polytheism according to Corruption of sin and every sin by which the servant wronged himself between himself and Allah and repented from it, may Allah forgive him. As for the grievances among the servants, Allah does not forgive them until he gives the wronged his right”
