Thailand’s Islamic Bank offers Winner of “Hajj Deposit Competition” Free Hajj Seat

The Thailand Islamic Bank is one of the active banks of Thailand which has been welcomed by Muslims living in the Southeast Asian country.

From among customers who deposited money in al-Hajj account in 2021, eight individuals each won 220,000 bahts to attend the Hajj pilgrimage.

The draw ceremony was held with the supervision of the bank’s managers and advisers as well as the participation of other local officials, the Iranian cultural office in Thailand reported.

Thailand is a country of nearly 70 million people in South East Asia. The country shares borders with Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, and Malaysia.

There is no detailed statistic about the population of the Muslim community in Thailand but it is estimated that Muslims constitute 6 to 15 percent of the total population.
