The General Authority for Awqaf today signed a cooperation memorandum with the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and Prophet’s Holy Mosque to establish guest houses for children at the yards of the Grand Holy Mosque.
Deputy Governor of the Authority for the sector of banks and development programs Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Iqayyel and Deputy President of the General Presidency for projects and engineering studies Eng. Mohammed bin Suleiman Al-Waqdani represented their respective institutions in signing the memorandum remotely.
The deal includes establishing, operating and designing programs and activities offered at the center with identifying the requirements and preparations that match the nature of the designed model, in addition to training the operational team on the establishing and operation systems.

This center contributes to providing a safe place for the children of visitors of the Grand Holy Mosques, so that they can perform their rituals easily. This center is designed according to the best practice and models that take into consideration the safety requirements and social, educational and entertainment aspects that suit the needs of children. Implementing and operating these centers are the responsibility of specialized consultative institutions, where this center will be the first step for a series of centers that will be established successively.
The project is part of strategic partnership between the authority and the presidency, which seeks to enable visitors of the Grand Holy Mosque to realize a comforting spiritual experiment that matches the targets of the Saudi Vision 2030 in making a comprehensive trip that reflects the civil image of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its services to guests of the Two Holy Mosques.
