Hajj Multipurpose Support Group in Adamawa State said their mission is to assist Hajj stakeholders in enlightening and educate people in the rural areas on the importance of Hajj policies especially the Hajj Saving scheme.

The Coordinator of the group, Nurudeen Nyako who spoke to Hajj Reporters on the phone said the group “intends to collaborate with Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Board and NAHCON in areas of enlightening pilgrims.

On whether officials of Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Board are aware of the existence of the group, Nurudeen Nyako told Hajj Reporters that “he has personally visited and informed the Executive Secretary of the board, Mallam Salisu Abubakar and that the Chairman of the board is the Grand patron of Hajj Multipurpose Support Group in Adamawa State.

“Yes, actually intimated the Executive Secretary. I meet him in his office and I told him that we are going to write him officially. We are going to appoint him as our state patron”.

Nurudeen said, “both the Executive Secretary and the Chairman of the board were present on the day they unveiled the Hajj Multi-Purpose Group”.

“Both the Chairman and the Executive Secretary were seated at there and I use the opportunity to inform them that in line with vision of transforming Hajj operations in Adamawa State, we are going to key in and contribute our quota for a well-organised hajj in Adamawa state.

The groups said they are set to mobilize people in the rural areas and enlighten them on Hajj Saving Scheme and other hajj policies.

The group promise to brief Hajj Reporters on how members are recruited and the criteria adopted in electing the leadership of the group.
