Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state is travelling to Saudi Arabia to perform the Umrah or Lesser Hajj.
According to a statement by the Director-General, for Press Affairs to the governor, Abdullahi Bego, the governor will leave for Saudi Arabia through Abuja today Thursday and will return to the country on Tuesday 16th July 2019.
” This is a private visit for a religious purpose. However, the governor will use the opportunity of his trip to the Holy Land to inspect and ensure that accommodation and other facilities reserved for pilgrims from the state who will perform this year’s Hajj (pilgrimage) are as specified and as will make it easier and comfortable for them to fulfil all their religious obligations, ” the statement said.
