Alkauthar Travels and Tours Abuja is set to launch and operationalize a Command Control Centre for its annual Hajj and Ramadan Umrah pilgrims.
Speaking to Hajj Reporters, the Managing Director of Alkhautar Travels Hajiya Rabiat Umar said the reasons for the establishment of the centre is to bridge the gap in information sharing and bring all pilgrims up to speed as regards ongoing operations.
“The Command-and-Control Centre will be responsible for giving real time updates in terms of accommodation, flights, transportation and feeding arrangements both in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia as the case may.
“Once activated, the control room, which should be different from any platform created for the purpose of information sharing during 2024 Hajj, will provide timely updates regarding intending pilgrims status such as Visas procured, Flight ticket procured, confirmed travel dates and time, final take off and arrival, arrival activities and transportation to hotels,” she said.
The C&C Centre, she added, will also provide timely information regarding movement from Madinah to Makkah, nature of transportation, movement to Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifa and back.
“There will also be information regarding checkout time from all hotels in Makkah and real time updates of pilgrims return back to their bases,” Hajiya Rabi said.
She said a control room has already been set up with the state of art information communication gadgets with two dedicated Nigerian and Saudi Arabian phone numbers that can be reached 24/7 during Hajj operations.
She said all Alkhautar Pilgrims and service providers will be linked to the dedicated lines in order to facilitated a two-way interface for prompt response to pilgrims needs and guidance.
