Hajj 2024: Bauchi Partner Military on Safety, Security for Pilgrims

Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has restated its determination to provide adequate safety and security during Hajj operation and also acknowledged the cooperation of security agencies during the last operation.

The Executive Secretary of the Board Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris made the pledged when He received the Acting Garrison Commander, 33 Artillery Brigade Garrison, Nigerian Army Corps of the Artillery Shadawanka Barrack, Bauchi in his office.

The Garrison Commander was warmly received by the Executive Secretary and his management officers. Imam Abdurrahman described the visit as first of its kind.

He expressed appreciation to the Garrison Commander and his team for their zeal to ensure an improved safety and security during Hajj operation, adding that welfare of state pilgrims remains a top priority of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad administration.

Imam Abdurrahman further urged them to sustain the gesture, assured his Board unwavering support to Security Agencies in order to improve their activities.

Earlier, the Acting Garrison Commander, Nigerian Army Corps of the Artillery Shadawanka Barrack, Bauchi, Lieutenant colonel Abdurrahman Modibbo said the visit was aimed at to foster a formidable partnership with the Bauchi pilgrims Board in area of maintaining security during Hajj operation.

According to him, a synergy between the Board and the military during Hajj operation cannot be overemphasize, stressing that his officers are ready to ensure a hitch free Hajj operation in Bauchi State.
