The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), is set to sign a contractual agreement with selected airlines for Hajj 2024.

The Airlines expected to put pen to paper to airlift Nigerian intending pilgrims include Max Air, Air Peace and Saudi owned Flynas Airline.

NAHCON had in January announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had granted approval for the use of the selected airlines.

The commission had been expected to sign agreements with the Airlines much earlier so that they can kick start preparations for the operations in earnest, but the delay in announcing final fare and remittances from the states had delayed the exercise.

However, an invitation sent to HAJJ REPORTERS by the Media Department of NAHCON indicated that the agreement will finally be signed on Thursday at the conference room of Hajj House Abuja by 3pm.

Based in an earlier statement, NAHCON has said that Max Air will transport pilgrims from Bauchi, Benue, Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Kogi, Nasarawa, Oyo, Taraba, Gombe, Jigawa, Plateau and Armed forces. Air Peace will also fly pilgrims from Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Delta, Cross River, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, FCT, Imo, Kwara, Ondo and Rivers State while Flynas will fly pilgrims from Borno, Lagos,Osun, Ogu, Niger, Sokoto, Kebbi, Yobe and Zamfara
