The national hajj commission of Nigeria NAHCON has facilitated the airlift of 2, 574 pilgrims from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia after the inaugural flight ceremony that was held in Abuja on 25th of May 2023.
The flights updates record from NAHCON’s command and control units indicated that a total number o 2, 574 pilgrims were airlifted in six flights operations from four different embarkation points by four airlines conveying pilgrims of five different states.
Further analysis of flight updates by HAJJ REPROTERS shows that Max Airline has so far transported 1,021 pilgrims of Nasarawa and Plateau from Abuja and Bauchi Centres while Aero contractor airlifted 450 Nasarawa pilgrims from Abuja embarkation point.
Flynas airlifted 841 pilgrims of Sokoto and Zamfara from Sokoto departing centre while Air Peace airlifted 262 pilgrims from Kwara departing from Ilorin centre.
