Hajj 2023: First batch of pilgrims to arrive Saudi Arabia on May 21st – Saudi Minister of Hajj

The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has scheduled the first flight carrying 2023 Hajj pilgrims to arrive the Kingdom on 1st day of Dhul Qa’adah which is equivalent to May 21st 2023.

 

 

The Ministry disclosed this during a virtual preparatory meeting with The South African Hajj and Umrah Council (SAHUC); the Ministry also confirmed that there will be no upper age limit for intending pilgrims who wish to perform the 2023 Hajj.

a Statement from SAHUC on Monday said it has been invited to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by 2nd week of January for a further meeting with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj

 

 

Highlights of 2023 hajj policies as posted by SAHUC are as follows:

 

No Upper Age limit for 2023 Hajj pilgrims

  1. Yellow fever, Meningitis and covid vaccine certification will be required, No PCR test is needed
  2. All contractual obligations by accredited travel operators must be concluded by the 15th of Shaaban 1444
  3. The arrival date for Hajj entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be the 1st of Dhul Qa’adah 21st of May 2023
  4. The departure date for 2023 Hajj pilgrims from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be the 15th of Dhul Hijjah
