Makkah: Parents arriving with their children for Hajj and Umrah need not worry about leaving their children behind. Wristbands will henceforth be given to children to help locate children who are separated from their parents. The wristband will contain the child’s name and their parents’ contact numbers.

The General Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques has launched a scheme to distribute wristbands to children accompanying their parents. This system will be available for those coming for prayers, Hajj and Umrah at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

This wrist band will be very helpful for officials and volunteers to immediately contact the parents of the missing children and bring them back.

Undersecretary General for Social, Voluntary and Humanitarian Services at the General Presidency of both Harams, Khalid bin Fahd Al Shalawi, announced the new plan that will bring much relief to parents. He said that this initiative will help parents and their children to perform the procedures related to Hajj and Umrah with peace of mind and without Aadhi. He informed that the wrist band will display the child’s name and contact information of the parents so that if they get separated from their parents, the authorities can use the information to bring them back.
