Amirul Hajj to Intending pilgrims: Be good ambassadors of Kogi, Nigeria in Saudi Arabia

The Kogi State Amirul Hajj for the 2024 Holy pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, Justice Siyaka Momoh Jimoh Usman, has admonished intending pilgrims  to be good ambassadors of the State and Nigeria.

He made the call on Sunday during the closing ceremony of the 2024 enlightenment programme organized by Kogi the State Hajj Commission.

He also warned the pilgrims against abusing their visa privileges by overstaying in the Kingdom .

The Amirul Hajj used the occasion to commend the state Governor, Usman Ahmed Ododo for the appointment of a capable hand to lead Kogi State Hajj Commission in the person of Sheikh Luqman Imam Abdullahi.

Justice Usman also thanked the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, (NAHCON) for their cooperation with Kogi State pilgrims.

He equally Warned the pilgrims against involvement in any form of vice  that could tarnish their image,that of  Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole.

A statement from the Kogi State Hajj Commission also said medical screening for the intending pilgrims will commence on Monday 6 May, 2024, in central zone, while that of the eastern zone(Ayingba) will hold on and Wednesday is slated for pilgrims from the western zone (Lokoja).
