Hajj 2019: NAHCON Commends Lagos

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, (NAHCON), has commended Lagos Pilgrims for being good ambassadors for Nigeria for acting in accordance with Saudi Arabia rules of engagement in the course of the current Hajj exercise.

The commission also praised the “tireless efforts” of the State’s Pilgrims Welfare Board and other stakeholders for the success of the exercise.

The Commissioner for Operations of NAHCON, Alhaji Abdullahi Saleh who represented the Chairman of the commission, Abdullahi Mukhtar gave this commendation when the team paid a courtesy visit to Lagos Tent at Mina, Saudi Arabia on Monday.

Quoted the commissioner of operations as saying pilgrims from Lagos has set a standard worthy of emulation for other states to follow towards promoting the image of Nigeria.

Alhaji Saleh, who explained that the visit became necessary to improve service delivery, urged the pilgrims to always report back to the commission with regard to areas where deficiency has been noticed.

In a message, the National Missioner of Ansaru Deen, Abdul Rahman Ahmad prayed for lasting peace in the face of insecurity bedeviling Nigeria.

The cleric also prayed for the economic advancement and prosperity of all citizens, just as he “sought the wisdom of God for government at all levels to lead the nation to the Promise Land,” the statement said.
