HAJJ OPERATION: OGUN PILGRIMS’ BOARD PLEDGES COLLABORATION WITH FOWMAN

Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has urged Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) to impart more on women folks so as to maintain sanity in the society.

 

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Salau Dauda stated this during a courtesy visit paid by the Association at Board’s Secretariat Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying FOMWAN has always been recognised and carried along in the implementation of government’s activities and policies.

 

Salau urged them to be steadfast and always inculcate what Islam teaches among women folks. “Government will continue to recognise you as usual in hajj operation, we are imploring you to preach decency and the way they relate towards becoming good Ambassadors to Isalm in general”,  noted.

While explaining the importance of Hajj Savings Scheme, Alhaji Salau admonished them to key into the scheme and spread its benefit to the people so as to have a long term savings plan in order to partake in the Holy pilgrimage to Mecca and Medinah with ease.

 

Earlier, the Amirah of the Association, Alhaja Zainab Jinadu  promised its unalloyed support to the Board towards achieving a seamless hajj operation and enhancement of good life and development of women in Islam, adding that the Association has embarked on various developmental programmes to enhance  well-beinga of women, Youth, and the society at large.

 

She  emphasized that women have been playing important roles in the propagation of Islam, adding that FOMWAN would continue to support any course that would make Isalm to  grow in all ramification.

 

“As a mother, we will not relent on our oars in ensuring that the social menace, especially among the Youths is reduced to the bearest minimum”, she said.
