The Emir stated this when socializing the costs of organizing the 1443 Hijriyah pilgrimage (BPIH) at a hotel in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu, Saturday (23/4/2022).
Emir said he amount of BPIH that had been determined by the Indonesian government this year was IDR 39.8 million per person.
“The hajj subsidy fund provided by the government reaches Rp. 41 million of the total cost of hajj per pilgrim which reaches Rp. 81.7 million. This is to pay for the difference in air transportation, hotels, meals during the 40-day hajj,” he said.
He explained that this government subsidy was given to each pilgrim from the addition of the value of the benefits of hajj financial management so that they only paid Rp. 35 million from the BPIH amount that had been decided by the government of Rp. 39.8 million because the rest was charged to the virtual account allocation.
“This year, Indonesia gets a hajj quota of 100,051 people, now we are ready to pay subsidies for these hajj candidates. If there is news that mentions negative Hajj financial management, it is a hoax,” he said.
The number of waiting lists for hajj in Indonesia has reached 5.1 million people with the total managed hajj funds reaching Rp160 trillion.
